May 11–17 marks Food Allergy Awareness Week, and all of May is Celiac Awareness month: A perfect time to highlight two of our heroes, Dave Stubler and AMC Theatres.
Raising Awareness Through Humor and Recipes: Meet Dave Stubler
Food allergy content creator Dave Stubler has built a loyal following by combining humor, honesty, and creativity. Known for his quick, relatable videos and innovative allergy-friendly recipes, Dave helps people living with food allergies feel seen, heard, and supported.
His content brings visibility to the daily realities of food allergies while making the community feel a little less alone. We had the opportunity to speak with Dave about his personal allergy journey, what inspires his content, and how storytelling on social media can drive real impact.

Improving Access at the Movies: Thank You, AMC
We’re also happy to share a Homefree packaging update at AMC Theatres, our longtime partner. AMC is transitioning from offering our Chocolate Chip Mini Cookies in boxes to a new large bag format that can be displayed on pegs in a more prominent, accessible location.
Why does this matter? For the many of us with dietary restrictions and lifestyle choices, finding better-for-you, delicious snacks we can enjoy shouldn’t require searching through shelves or asking staff. This new setup helps Homefree allergy friendly, gluten free, plant-based cookies stand out—right where moviegoers are already looking. It’s a small change that makes a big difference. We’re incredibly grateful to AMC for being so attentive to the needs of our community.
Small Actions, Big Impact
At Homefree, we believe that raising awareness and increasing access go hand in hand. From storytelling on social media to rethinking how snacks are displayed at concessions, progress happens through the efforts of individuals and organizations that care.
So, this Food Allergy Awareness Week, we say thank you—thank you to those making bold moves, those quietly helping behind the scenes, and everyone doing their part to make the world safer and more inclusive for those with food allergies.
Is there someone you would like to thank for their efforts supporting our community? Tell us about them—they could be our next featured interview or receive a special thank-you from us. You can message us on Instagram or email us at info@homefreetreats.com—we’d love to hear their story.
