A Month of Action: Let’s Show Up Together This May

by | May 11, 2026 | Uncategorized

May – with Celiac Awareness Month, Allergy Awareness Month and especially Food Allergy Awareness Week, May 10–16 – always feels like an important time to pause, reflect, and, most importantly, to take action. As part of that, we like to celebrate the people and organizations doing the work every day to make life safer and more inclusive for the food allergy community.

One of those organizations is Securing Safe Food.

For the past six years, we’ve partnered with Securing Safe Food, a nonprofit focused on a very real—and often overlooked—issue: access. Because managing safely with food allergies isn’t just about reading labels or avoiding certain ingredients. For many individuals and families, it’s also about whether safe food is accessible at all.

Securing Safe Food works to get allergy-friendly food into the hands of those who need it most—whether that’s through community programs, outreach, or direct support. It’s a mission that goes beyond awareness and into real, tangible impact.

This year, we invite you to join us in supporting that work in a simple, meaningful way.

During Food Allergy Awareness Week (May 11th through the 16th), for every Homefree purchase you make at Amazon.com/homefree, we’ll donate a product to Securing Safe Food—helping extend access to safe treats a little further.

Beyond partnerships, we’re also excited to see more allergy stories being told on a larger stage.

This month, May Contain: My Life—a film centered on the real, everyday realities of living with food allergies—will be playing nationwide in AMC Theatres from May 22–29. It’s an opportunity to show up, support, and see these experiences represented more broadly.

And if you’re heading to the theater, you can find Homefree Chocolate Chip Mini Cookies available at AMC locations—making it easy to snack safely while you watch.

While moments like this help bring broader visibility to the food allergy experience, we’re also thinking about what that looks like on a more personal, day-to-day level.

That’s what drew us to Little Me Allergy.

We recently connected with the founder to talk about what it really looks like to navigate food allergies as a parent—and how something as simple as a sticker, wristband, or label can help a child feel more confident, included, and understood.

To celebrate that conversation (and share it with our community), we’re also partnering together on a giveaway:

✨ A variety pack of Homefree single-serve cookies
✨ A Little Me Allergy magnet of your choice

We’ll be sharing more details soon, so keep an eye out.

We’ll be sharing more throughout the month—from the Little Me Allergy interview to giveaway details. If you want to follow along, we’ll be posting updates on Instagram and LinkedIn as everything rolls out.

Awareness is just the start—what matters most is what we do with it.
